Privacy policy

Nubi has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your subscriptions stay on your iPhone and in your private iCloud. Here is exactly what little leaves your device, and how to turn it off.

Updated

In short

  • No sign-up, email or password.
  • What you store in Nubi lives on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud database. We can't read it.
  • We only send anonymous errors and usage, through Sentry and PostHog, on servers in the European Union, with no IP or profile. You can turn it off in Settings.
  • Logos are requested from each website directly by your device.
  • Exchange rates come from Frankfurter.
  • No tracking, no ads, no selling data.

What you store in Nubi

Your subscriptions, amounts, currencies, dates, categories, notes, reminders and history are stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is on, they sync with your other devices through your private iCloud database (CloudKit), protected by your Apple Account.

Nubi has no servers of its own, so no one else, not even us, can see that information. Apple handles it under its own iCloud privacy policy.

Anonymous errors and usage

To find bugs and learn which parts of the app get used, Nubi sends anonymous reports to two services, both with servers in the European Union:

  • Sentry, for errors and hangs longer than 2 seconds. Reports carry no identifier and the IP is replaced with 0.0.0.0.
  • PostHog, for a closed list of 11 usage events, with grouped counts. They are counted with a random install identifier that doesn't come from your iCloud or your device. The IP is not stored.

Reports include the Nubi and system versions, the device model, the language, the screen, the type of error and technical states of the app.

Never sent: subscription names, websites, amounts, currencies, notes, dates, anything you type, your iCloud account or your IP. There is no session recording, no screenshots and no tap tracking.

How to turn it off

Go to Settings › Privacy › Share anonymous errors and usage. It's on by default; when you turn it off, Nubi stops sending and discards anything pending.

On the App Store, Nubi declares “Diagnostics” and “Usage” as data not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.

Logos and service search

Nubi ships with a catalog of about 200 services inside the app. When you type three or more letters of a service's name, your iPhone tries likely websites directly to find its logo, without going through any server of ours or anyone else's.

As with visiting any web page, those websites and your DNS provider can see what you typed and your IP. It's the only time a name leaves your device. Logos are stored on your iPhone and are not synced.

Exchange rates

If you have Pro and use more than one currency, Nubi requests exchange rates from Frankfurter, a public service, at most once a day. The request carries none of your data, though Frankfurter can see your IP.

Purchases

Nubi Pro and Nubi Support are bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details or your identity, and the app only knows whether the purchase is active.

What happens only on your device

  • Each day's weather, the totals and the summaries are worked out on your iPhone.
  • Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone, with no server. They can show the name and amount on the Lock Screen.
  • When importing from screenshots, Nubi only sees the images you choose and reads them on your device, without access to your whole library.
  • Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight run on your device. Spotlight shows your subscriptions without amounts.

What we don't do

  • We don't ask for accounts, email or bank details.
  • We don't track you across apps or websites.
  • We don't show ads.
  • We don't sell or share data with data brokers.

Your control over your data

You can export your subscriptions in Settings › Your data › Export to a spreadsheet and erase everything in Settings › Your data › Delete all data, which also deletes it from iCloud.

Because error and usage reports are anonymous, we can't connect them to you. If you have a question or want to exercise a right over your data, write to soporte@usenubi.app.

This website

usenubi.app uses no cookies, analytics or forms. Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes technical connection data such as the IP only to deliver and protect the pages.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll publish the new version here with its date. Nubi is developed by the Nubi Team. For any privacy question, write to soporte@usenubi.app.
