The weather

How is each day's weather worked out?

Nubi compares that day's charges with your usual monthly spending: what you pay each month for your active subscriptions, in the same currency as the charge.

  • Clear: no charges.
  • Partly cloudy: a single charge below 15%, or a charge with no amount.
  • Cloudy: two or more charges, or a total from 15%.
  • Rain: four or more charges, or a total from 30%.
  • Storm: a yearly renewal, or a total from 50%.

If the number of charges and the total point to different weather, the heavier one wins.

What do Fog, Wind, Snow and Rainbow mean?
  • Fog: a free trial ends and the charges begin.
  • Wind: the first charge at a higher price.
  • Snow: a charge was due, but that subscription is paused.
  • Rainbow: the last day of access to something you cancelled.
I have few subscriptions. Why doesn't the percentage change anything?

With fewer than three subscriptions with an amount in a currency, a single charge would always be a huge percentage. So in that case the weather only depends on the number of charges and on yearly renewals.

What if a day has charges in several currencies?

Nubi works out the weather for each currency separately, without converting, and shows the heaviest.

Where do I see the weather?

On Today, next to your next charge and its explanation. The weather sits beside the amount and never replaces it. With Reduce Motion on, the sky stays still.

Free and Pro

What does Nubi Free include?

Up to 3 subscriptions in one currency, the weather, Today, Calendar and Summary, reminders one day before and on the day, iCloud, backups, CSV export, the Next charge widget and Siri. Archived subscriptions don't count toward the limit.

What does Nubi Pro add?

Unlimited subscriptions, multiple currencies converted to your main one, reminders three days before and custom ones, a review before every yearly renewal, the 12-month chart, price history, importing from text, CSV and screenshots, and every widget. It's $249 MXN once, and yours for good.

What is Nubi Support?

A $199 MXN yearly subscription for people who'd rather support Nubi every year. It gives exactly the same as Pro. Manage or cancel it in Settings › Nubi Pro › Manage Support or in your Apple Account subscriptions.

Can I share Pro with my family?

No. Nubi Pro and Nubi Support don't have Family Sharing turned on.

What happens to my data if I lose Pro?

Nothing is deleted. Anything over the Free limit can still be seen and edited; you only need Pro to add more or to use Pro features again.

Restore purchases

I bought Pro and it doesn't show. How do I get it back?

Go to Settings › Nubi Pro › Restore purchases. It's also on the Pro screen. Use the same App Store account you bought with; purchases belong to that account, not to iCloud.

If you see “We couldn't find purchases on this App Store account”, check which account your iPhone is using.

Do I need internet to use Pro?

No. Offline, Nubi remembers the last level it knew and updates it when you're back online.

Sync with iCloud

How do I sync my subscriptions across devices?

There's nothing to do: Nubi syncs on its own with every device using the same iCloud account. In Settings › Sync you'll see “On with iCloud” or “Only on this device”. iCloud is free for everyone.

It says “Only on this device”. What now?

Sign in to iCloud in your iPhone's settings. Meanwhile Nubi works the same on your device; once iCloud is available, it syncs what's pending without duplicating anything. The same happens if your iCloud is full or you're offline.

If I delete the app or switch iPhones, do I lose my data?

Not if you use iCloud: install Nubi with the same account and your data comes back. If you don't use iCloud, make a backup first.

I edited the same thing on two devices. Which one stays?

The latest change stays. And if you delete something by mistake, you can recover it for 30 days.

Backups

How do I make a backup?

In Settings › Your data › Create a backup. It includes subscriptions, reminders, history, states and recently deleted items. The backup isn't encrypted, so keep it somewhere safe.

How do I restore a backup?

In Settings › Your data › Restore a backup. Before applying anything, Nubi shows how many subscriptions are new, changed or the same. Restoring only adds or updates: it never deletes or duplicates.

Can I move my subscriptions to a spreadsheet?

Yes, in Settings › Your data › Export to a spreadsheet. You get a CSV with name, amount, currency, frequency, next charge, status, category, notes and the monthly and yearly cost.

Reminders

When does Nubi remind me?
  • One day before each charge and on the day.
  • With Pro, also three days before, custom reminders and a review seven days before each yearly renewal.
  • Free trials remind you two days before and the day before the charges begin.
  • A pause reminds you the day before it resumes, and a cancellation the day before your access ends.

If three or more reminders fall at the same time, they arrive together as one summary.

How do I change the time or turn reminders off?

In Settings › Reminders › Reminder time you pick the time, and you can turn them all off there. For a single subscription, turn them off from its detail.

My reminders don't arrive.

Check that Nubi has permission in iOS Settings › Notifications › Nubi and that a Focus isn't silencing them. Reminders are created on your iPhone, so they work offline.

Does Nubi cancel subscriptions for me?

No. Nubi reminds you and helps you decide, but cancelling happens with the service you subscribed to. Afterwards, mark the subscription as cancelled so Nubi remembers how long you keep access.
